1.The fool speaks in his heart;
he says, “There is no God.”
Corrupt are they, their deeds are vile;
not one does any good.
2.The Lord looks down from heav’n
and views the human race
to see if any understand,
if any seek God’s face.
3.They all have turned aside;
corrupt they have become.
Not one of them does any good,
no, not a single one.
4.Will sinners never learn?
My people they devour;
they eat my people as their bread
and never seek the Lord.
5.Great terror on them falls,
and they are much dismayed,
before there is a single cause
for them to be afraid.
6. The bones of all your foes
you scatter all abroad;
and you will put them all to shame,
who are despised by God.
7. May help from Zion come!
The Lord his captives bring!
Let Jacob’s tribes restored be glad;
for joy let Isr’el sing!
