1.The LORD I will at all times ever bless;
his praise will ever be within my mouth.
My soul will make its boasting in the LORD;
let all the humble hear it and be glad.
O join with me to magnify the LORD!
Let us together raise his name on high.

2.I sought the LORDand he has answered me,
and he from all my terrors set me free.
O look to him, be radiant, unashamed!
This poor man cried; the LORD from trouble saved.
The angel of the LORD encamps around
those fearing him, and he delivers them.

3.O taste and you will see the LORD is good!
How blest the man who puts his trust in him!
O fear the LORD, all you he has redeemed!
For those who fear him never suffer want.
Young lions hunger, they may lack for food;
but those who seek the LORD shall have no want.

4.O come, you children, listen unto me,
and I will teach you how to fear the LORD.
Who longs for life—its good—thro’ many days?
From evil keep your tongue, your lips from lies.
Depart from ev’ry evil way, do good,
and ever seek to follow after peace.

5.The LORD God’s eyes look down on righteous ones;
his ears are open to their ev’ry cry.
The LORD against the wicked turns his face
to cut their mem’ry off from all the earth.
The righteous cry for help, the LORD will hear;
from all their troubles he delivers them.

6. The LORD is near to every broken heart,
and those who are in spirit crushed he saves.
Though many are the trials of the just,
the LORD delivers him from every one.
For he is safely keeping all his bones;
he guards them so not one will ever break.

7. But evil surely slays the wicked ones,
and those who hate the just will be condemned.
The LORD provides redemption for the soul
of everyone who truly serves his will,
and none will be condemned who look to him,
who for their only refuge hide in him.
