1 Let us build a house of worship
To the God of heav'n and earth,
Where His Church may bow before Him,
Hear His Word and sing His worth!
Not alone our bricks and mortar,
Hearts and lives to God we raise;
He will set His name forever
On such building to His praise.
2 Let us build on God's foundation
Jesus Christ, whose blood atones
Build with lives of grace and beauty,
Gold and silver, precious stones!
Let us build for now, forever;
Build for those who live today,
Build for future generations
Truth that triumphs, come what may!
3 Let us build to teach our children
God's great glory, pow'r, and grace;
Build to bring our friends and neighbors
God's good news for all our race.
Let us build to tell all nations
Life and health are theirs in God
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior!
Sound His saving name abroad!
