O praise God's name together,
you servants of the LORD;
O LORD, for all your favor
to us, you are adored!
Within your holy temple,
before your sacred throne,
the chosen heirs of Jacob
proclaim you God alone!
O LORD, no mind can measure
the greatness of your might;
you gave the earth its orbit
and set the stars to flight.
The clouds you raised in heaven
give to the fields their rain;
your Word lifts waves from oceans
and mountains from the plain.
For you, LORD of creation,
control your vast domain;
you speak, and nations tremble;
in holy peace you reign.
When kings enslave your chosen,
your might unbars the door;
and tyrants, once in power,
now kneel before the poor.
False gods may rise before us,
their vanity display;
but as the hands that made them,
they too shall fade away.
Your name, O God Almighty,
endures for endless days;
and newborn generations
unite to sing your praise.
