1 In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind did moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, Fallen snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, many years ago.
2 Heaven cannot hold Him, nor the earth sustain;
Heaven and earth shall vanish when He comes to reign.
God Himself became a man-- Born to pay sins price;
He's the great Redeemer, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
3 What can I give Him, Needy as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a nobleman, I would do my part;
what I can I give Him: give Him all my heart.
