1 Come, risen Lord, and deign to be our guest;
no, let us your guest be--with you we dine.
Yourself at your own board be manifest
in this your sacrament of bread and wine.
2 We meet, as in that upper room they met;
here at the table, blessing, still you stand.
""This is my body""--you are with us yet;
faith still receives the cup as from your hand.
3 We are one body, for we all partake;
one church united in communion blessed;
one name we bear, one bread of life we break,
with all your saints on earth and saints at rest.
4 One with each other, Lord, so let us be;
one with our Savior and our lifting Head.
Then open now our eyes, that we may see;
be known to us in breaking of the bread.
