A glorious morning breaks the night;
the Son of God is risen with might.
2 No grave could conquer David's Son;
he conquered death and victory won,
rose from the grave in heavenly power,
for he is God, our strength and tower.
3 Now death no longer holds a sting;
Christ fully paid for all our sin.
Believers who his glory tell
need never fear the grave or hell.
4 Since Christ the Lord is risen with might,
new life begins in glorious light:
a life that triumphs over death,
eternal life with Christ, our Head.
