O God, may we keep praying just like a friend at night
Who knocks on our door saying, "No time to be polite —
I need some food for sharing: a friend has come to stay.
I come before you begging, I need your help, I pray."
May we be like the widow who sought to win her case;
She asked the judge, "Consider the trouble that I face."
He would have still resisted, but she kept bothering him.
And after she persisted, the judge said, "I give in!"
