1 Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretched soul like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
My eyes were blind, but now I see.
2 God's grace has taught my heart to fear,
His grace my every fear relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The very hour that I believed.
3 Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
By grace I have already come;
God's grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me safely home.
4 When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the noonday sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when the song was first begun.
