1 How lovely is Your dwelling place, Almighty God and LORD!
For my soul yearns and even faints to be within Your courts!
My heart and flesh cry out in me, for God, the living God–
Your presence is where I would be; I long for You, my God!

2 The sparrow even found a home, the swallow found a nest,
where she may have her young near You, and at Your altar rest.
O LORD Almighty, King and God, how blessed are those who dwell
within Your house where they Your praise forever gladly tell.

3 How blessed are those who find their strength in You, their God and King;
who set their hearts on pilgrimage, and in Your presence sing.
Through valleys filled with tears they pass, make it a place of springs,
the autumn rains do cover it with pools which the rain brings.

4 They go from strength to strength until before God they appear;
O listen, God of Jacob and O LORD Almighty, hear!
Now look upon our shield, O God, upon Your sovereign one;
O look with favor on the face of Your anointed one.

5 Much better is a day within Your courts where You abide
than thousands where the wicked dwell, who are not on Your side.
For I would rather be a slave, a keeper of Your door,
than live with those in wicked tents who do the Lord ignore.

6 The LORD is both a sun and shield, and favor He bestows,
and no good thing does He withhold from those whose way He knows–
from those who walk in righteousness, in upright ways and true.
O LORD Almighty, blessed are those who put their trust in You.

Updated Format! Beginning in November of 2016, we changed the way we formatted our PowerPoint files. The font is larger and the staff lines are bolder, making the songs easier to read from a greater distance, including smaller screens/monitors in the rear of the sanctuary.

All songs digitized previous to that date are in the "older" format.
