Unfurl the glory promised us.
Surprise with joy those keeping trust.
2 Dear God, let loose the angel hosts;
send them to stop all warlike boasts.
Startle the nations filled with hate.
Rescue the meek while we still wait.
3 O Spirit, give dumbfounding birth!
Carpet with green a whole new earth.
Redeem the rainbows in the skies:
wipe away tears from all our eyes.
4 Dear Lord, convert our faith to sight.
Shine with the brilliance ending night.
Winnow the wicked chaff from wheat.
Harvest the world; make us complete.
5 O Christ! remove our advent fears.
Bolster our hope, excite our cheers.
Bring on full life both new and free.
Trumpet at last the jubilee!
