1 Our Father, whose creative love
the gift of life bestows,
each child of earthly union born
your heavenly likeness shows.
2 Grant those entrusted with the care
of precious life from you,
your grace that faithful they will prove
and strong in all they do.
3 Teach them to meet the growing needs
of infant, child, and youth;
to build the body, train the mind
to know and love the truth.
4 All parents need your wisdom's light,
your love within their heart;
then bless their home, and for their task
your Spirit's grace impart.
