Create within this sinner, Lord,
a heart that's free from sin indeed,
a heart to ever trust Thy Word,
and run to Thee in time of need.
Give me thy love with righteous fear,
that I no more from Thee may part,
salvation, too, that I may hear
Thy Spirit pleading in my heart.
Come, then my God, vouch-safe to stay,
within my heart made pure and clean,
Thy truth must help me all the way;
from Thee, my God, good deeds to glean.
Then Shall transgressors know I teach
the way of God with heart sincere,
constrain the sinner to beseech
our God that He may bless them here.
